Meet the Staff

Operations Manager

Jessica Coxon is a born and raised local of Snowmass Village and has been involved with SMashBox for 5 years. She is entering her second year at Colorado Mesa University and will be majoring in Exercise Science or Elementary Education. Jessica is committed to athletics and has excelled on all sorts of sports teams and fields. She enjoys playing basketball, soccer, skiing/snowboarding and now is a vital asset to her college rugby team! If you've ever attended a Snowmass Rodeo you may have seen Jessica cowgirl'd up and supervising the children in mutton bustin'. Jessica has been working with children since the age of eleven and has had experience as a babysitter, ski instructor, day care teacher, camp counselor, and as a manager at Camp SMashBox. We have loved Jessica since we got to know her as a 8th grader! Jessica was integral to camp operations at SMashBox last summer, and we are thrilled to have her back as part of the management team!

Activities Manager

Ben Belinski is proud to have been a part of SMashBox since the very beginning, and is now working as Activities Manager in his fifth/sixth year. He is currently studying English at Middlebury College, Vermont, but is always excited to return home for summers filled with arts and crafts, water fights, sunshine and smiles. Ben excels at all sorts of things and is a goofball through and through! You may have seen him in years past on stage, playing music with his band or in a leading role in one of the local theater productions, as Head Boy at Aspen High, or competing on the football field or ski slopes. In the Fall, Ben is off to England to study at Oxford! Ben has a huge heart for people and is integral to camp fun. We are proud to have Ben returning on the management team!

Junior Counselor Manager

Amanda is a rising senior at the University of Florida studying elementary education. She grew up in central Florida, but spent many summers in Colorado. Her perfect day starts with a green smoothie, continues with a killer hike, and ends with a good book and some tea—she’s not like a regular granny…she’s a super-cool, hip granny. Back in Gainesville, FL, where she attends school, Amanda babysits, mentors, and tutors elementary-aged students. She strives to inspire kids to be curious, confident, and caring individuals. When she's not working at SMashBox this summer, you may find her assisting real estate brokers at Sotheby's in Aspen. Amanda is extremely excited for her first summer with Camp SMashBox, and we are extremely excited to have her!

Junior Counselor Manager

Jenna Freeman has grown up here in Snowmass Village and was a 2015 Aspen High graduate. She is currently attending Colorado Mesa University where she is studying elementary education and working in the financial aid office. Jenna began working with kids at the age of eleven as a babysitter, and has since been a lifeguard and swim instructor at the ARC for the last three and a half years. Jenna loves to run, hike, read, and spend time with her family. Jenna was a camper at Camp SMashBox the first year we operated, and we have loved her ever since! In addition to working for Camp SMashBox this summer you can find Jenna at the ARC, teaching swimming and saving lives. :o) We are thrilled to have Jenna joining the SMashBox team!
